Preview the asset. Check the file. Keep the original private.
Watermarked 3D turntables, promotional videos and non-AI file checks are now part of the creator asset marketplace.
See more before you choose
Open Digital assets and choose Preview & file details on a listing. Creators can now add a 3D turntable, cover image and promotional video so buyers can understand what is included before acquiring a file.
A model preview that does not send the model
Supported GLB and OBJ files receive twelve rendered, watermarked views. Drag or use the left/right buttons or arrow keys to turn the preview. The browser receives raster images rather than the source mesh, scripts or original file.
This preview shows geometry and base colors in a rest pose; it does not reproduce textures, animations or rigging. Use a video and a clear description to show those details. Turntables currently support self-contained, uncompressed triangle models with up to 50,000 triangles. Images can be captured, and a buyer can redistribute a file they legitimately download; this is protection against exposing the original during browsing, not a DRM guarantee.
Show it in action with video
Add an MP4 or WebM promotional video, up to 50 MB, in the listing form. Buyers can play it in the same preview dialog. The video is public promotional media, separate from the private original file. A seller’s video does not independently prove ownership or delivery quality.
File checks that do not use AI
Choose Check files & preview before publishing. These checks do not spend credits or use AI. They inspect supported file structures and sizes, compare content against extensions, check readable Lua/Luau and embedded RBXMX script sources for risky patterns, and reject unsupported or unreadable uploads.
Files with findings need changes before they can be published. Executables, archives and binary RBXM files cannot pass this checker. Roblox model files must be exported as readable RBXMX for script inspection. Self-contained GLB, OBJ, readable source/data files and supported image/audio/video formats are accepted within their displayed limits. Original files are limited to 20 MB and cover images to 5 MB.
The file report shows what was checked, the rule version, date and SHA-256 fingerprint. A passed check is not a malware-free guarantee, a complete code audit, seller verification or a judgment of work quality. Review scripts before using them in Studio. Roblox also recommends caution with third-party asset code.
Checked bytes stay tied to the listing
The original is stored privately after its checks. Publishing binds that checked file to the listing, and creators cannot silently replace it through an ordinary upload. Acquisitions and original downloads remain unavailable for unchecked or flagged files. Authorized downloads use a short-lived link; previews do not expose the original download.
Existing listings are not given an automatic pass badge. The original files on the current marketplace were checked, including a model that now has a rendered turntable. A file/category mismatch requires a seller correction rather than appearing ready to acquire.
For creators
Choose List an asset, describe exactly what the buyer receives, add source and optional media, then run Check files & preview. Review the result before selecting Publish checked listing. You can edit a listing with its existing checked file or upload a replacement for fresh checks. Keep license terms, dependencies and setup instructions clear in the description.
