THE PEOPLE BEHIND YOUR NEXT GAME

    Hire Roblox developers.
    Build something worth playing.

A strong Roblox project starts with the right people and a brief they can actually estimate. RoTalent helps you find creators across scripting, building, UI, art, modeling and animation. Browse their public work, ask about relevant contributions, and agree on a first milestone before committing to a full game.

    A PRACTICAL HIRING GUIDE

How to hire your next developer.

Choose the specialty your project actually needs

A Roblox developer is not a single interchangeable role. A scripter implements gameplay and systems in Luau. A builder shapes a playable environment. A UI designer develops the player interface, while a modeler or animator creates assets and motion. Write down the next missing deliverable rather than asking one person to do everything. A playable prototype may need a scripter and a simple graybox; a polished store launch may need UI design, implementation and original art.

Evaluate work that is close to your own game

Look for a portfolio example with a similar technical or visual challenge. Ask what the creator personally made, what was supplied by the team, and which parts are visible in the example. For a multiplayer game, discuss server authority, data persistence and testing. For visual work, ask about source files, mobile performance and asset ownership. A famous game credit is useful context, but it does not replace evidence of the specific work you want commissioned.

Turn a game idea into a small first milestone

Describe the core player action, the devices you support and the result you expect at handoff. A useful first task is an end-to-end slice: one working round, one finished room, or one implemented screen. State what is outside that slice, such as monetization, a full map or a live operations dashboard. A bounded first milestone lets both sides test communication and quality before expanding the project.

    Plan the handoff between creators

Separate responsibilities when several specialists share a place. Agree who owns the Studio file, who integrates each asset, and how changes are reviewed. Builders need clear dimensions and collision rules. Scripters need consistent names and interaction requirements. Designers need information about input methods and localization. Keep an asset list and a short decision log so the next person can continue without guessing how the project works.

Compare quotes against the same brief

Send candidates the same scope, references, deadline and budget context. Ask each person to separate their estimate into deliverables and revision rounds. Confirm the currency and payment schedule; a percentage of future revenue is not the same as guaranteed cash. Public rates are set by creators and do not establish a platform-wide market price. Clarify what happens if priorities change before work starts.

Keep the agreement and acceptance clear

Agree on ownership, permitted dependencies, handoff files and the person who accepts each milestone. Record changes in writing and keep copies of progress and decisions. Start with a manageable paid milestone instead of requesting a large unpaid test. Account badges and portfolio claims are useful context, but neither removes the need to review evidence and make your own hiring decision.

    Questions before you hire.

Where can I hire Roblox developers?

Browse RoTalent creator profiles by specialty, then contact creators whose portfolios fit the project. You can also publish a job with the scope, budget and requirements so interested creators can apply.

    Are RoTalent developers verified?

A Roblox account verification badge indicates an account connection. It is not a guarantee of experience, identity, earnings or delivery quality. Review the work, references and agreement separately.

Should I hire one developer or a team?

Start with the deliverable. A small prototype may be suitable for one generalist. A larger game usually benefits from clear specialist responsibilities and someone responsible for integration.
