THE PEOPLE BEHIND YOUR NEXT GAME

    Hire Roblox UI designers.
    Build something worth playing.

Hire a Roblox UI designer when your menus, HUD or shop need a clearer visual system. Good interface work helps players understand what they can do and what happens next. Decide whether you need visual design files, implementation in Studio, or both, and compare creators using examples on the devices your game supports.

    A PRACTICAL HIRING GUIDE

How to hire your next UI designer.

Map the player’s task before styling screens

List the actions each interface needs to support. A shop may require browsing, inspecting an item, confirming a price and seeing the result of a purchase. Include loading, empty, disabled and error states. A designer can then plan hierarchy and navigation rather than producing a single attractive screen that is missing the states your scripter needs to build a complete feature.

    Separate design, implementation and behavior

Some UI designers deliver Figma files or exported image assets. Others build responsive ScreenGuis in Studio. Scripting button behavior, purchases and data connections is a further responsibility. Name the deliverables explicitly, including fonts, icons, source files and component states. Ask who will connect the finished interface to your game systems and who will fix layout issues found during integration.

    Check readability on small screens

Ask to see the same important screens at phone, tablet and desktop sizes. Review text size, touch targets, safe areas and long player names. If gamepad support matters, include selection states and navigation order. Avoid relying only on color to explain status. Localization can change text length substantially, so leave flexible space and agree how translated strings will be supplied.

    Build a reusable visual system

A compact system of spacing, typography, buttons and panels makes future screens easier to add. Ask for reusable components and a small style reference instead of unrelated screen mockups. Review the interface inside representative gameplay, where backgrounds and lighting can affect contrast. Finish with an asset manifest and an integration walkthrough so your team can update prices, labels and layouts without guessing which files to edit.

Compare quotes against the same brief

Send candidates the same scope, references, deadline and budget context. Ask each person to separate their estimate into deliverables and revision rounds. Confirm the currency and payment schedule; a percentage of future revenue is not the same as guaranteed cash. Public rates are set by creators and do not establish a platform-wide market price. Clarify what happens if priorities change before work starts.

Keep the agreement and acceptance clear

Agree on ownership, permitted dependencies, handoff files and the person who accepts each milestone. Record changes in writing and keep copies of progress and decisions. Start with a manageable paid milestone instead of requesting a large unpaid test. Account badges and portfolio claims are useful context, but neither removes the need to review evidence and make your own hiring decision.

    Questions before you hire.

Does a Roblox UI designer also script the interface?

Sometimes, but the responsibilities vary. Confirm whether the quote includes visual design, Studio implementation and functional scripting, or only part of that work.

What should I include in a UI brief?

Provide the screen list, player actions, references, target devices and existing branding. Add examples of loading, empty and error states so the interface can be implemented completely.

Can I redesign only one screen?

Yes. A shop, inventory or settings panel can be a useful first milestone. Ask how its components and visual rules will fit the rest of the game.
